What is This App?

The Deal Notifier is a simple web application designed to keep you updated with the latest deals from eBay. It provides a real-time, clean, and easy-to-read list of items that have recently been listed.

How It Works

The main page displays a list of deals. Each item in the list is a direct link to its corresponding eBay page. The list updates automatically as new deals become available.

For users on supported browsers (currently Google Chrome on Desktop and Android), there is an option to receive push notifications for new deals, even when the app is not open in your browser.

Enabling Notifications

To enable notifications, simply click the toggle switch labeled "Enable Deal Alerts" in the header. Your browser will ask for permission to show notifications. You must click "Allow" to receive alerts.

If you wish to stop receiving alerts, you can click the toggle again to disable them.

Note: This feature is only available on browsers that support modern web push notifications, such as Google Chrome.

LEGO Deals

The LEGO Deals page specifically searches for "New" condition "Buy It Now" LEGO listings on eBay that offer a discount of more than 25% off the retail price. At the moment, the notification feature is not available for this section and has been disabled.

Icon Legend

• 🏷️ : The retail price of the item.
• ⬇️ : The estimated discount percentage compared to the original price.
• 🚚✅ : The shipping fee is fixed (or free) and has been taken into consideration when calculating the total price and discount.
• 🚚❌ : The shipping fee is not included in the displayed price because the seller uses calculated shipping, which varies depending on the buyer's location.
• 🤝 : The seller accepts "Best Offers," meaning you might be able to negotiate a lower price.

Things to Keep in Mind

• Deal Diligence: This app identifies deals based on keyword matching and relays information directly from eBay. It does not verify the deals or sellers. Always perform your own due diligence on the eBay listing page before making any purchase.
• Marketplace Nature: Listings are offered on a strict first-come, first-served basis. Popular items are subject to limited availability and may sell out quickly.
• Data Cleanup: The list is frequently reviewed to remove items that have been sold. Additionally, every item that has been listed for more than 24 hours will be removed.
• Notification Reliability: Push notifications are delivered on a best-effort basis. Delivery can be delayed due to network conditions, device power-saving modes, or browser settings.
• As-Is Application: This is a simple demonstration app and is provided as-is, without guarantees of uptime or long-term support.
